[LegacyUG] Downloading Legacy on new computer

My son is going to set up my new computer for me this evening, but it won't be hooked up to the internet until tomorrow. Can he go on line and download the program to a CD and then load it on the new computer or will he have to wait until I get on line to download it? I am still using Legacy

The downloads are really huge. If you're trying to use the Install from the Web and since you're on dial-up, you're better off selecting the Download Full Setup, saving that to your hard drive and then running the install after you go off-line. It's not really going backwards. You'll find

I am downloading Legacy 6 onto my computer, and unfortunately I cannot stay online for the full 4 hours (still on dial up) so can only do it 'after hours' so to speak. The download skips to where it left off last time, but from there goes backwards. Can someone tell me why this happens???

What do you mean by goes backwards? Is there a status bar that shows percentage downloaded that starts out at - for example - 50% and then drops down to 20%? Does it just drop down initially and then begin climbing after a while? It starts off at 38% then goes down to about 25%, at which

Even though I have followed the instructions from the Help menu, I always receive the following message: This Region Database is an old version, etc. There is a newer version, etc. Go to Options -- Customize -- Other and click Database Maintenance. Which is what I tried in the beginning.
