Tools Set Ancestor Colours.
The new version is supposed to have removed the necessity to also go to
Options Customise. I haven't yet downloaded it so haven't checked.

The Ancestor Colours use a system of colour coding your direct ancestors
developed by Mary E.V. Hill. There is a description of the system in
the help files. In essence though each of your grandparents are assigned
one of four colours. All the ancestors from each of those four people

Paul,
Did you click on the check box to turn on the option? Who was the person
selected in family view when you did that? If ancestor colours were not
on and you turn them on using the options screen the starting person

I did have it checked. But when I go to any of my grandparents and click on
Tools Apply Ancestor Colors, it puts the whole line as blue. I have tried
it on each of the four grandparents.
