Susan,
In Family View right click on the marriage details (ie the bar below the
individuals' data) and you will see on the pop-up
I am trying to create an ancestor report that includes only tagged
individuals. I don't see an option in the screens on reports that allows
one to select only tagged persons. Can anyone help me with this? Thanks,
Susan Whitelaw

I'm confused by your question: any given person either is or is not an
ancestor.
Are you trying to get a one-sided ancestry, such as mother's side only?
John
I am trying to create an ancestor report that includes
the husband, the children will be retained by the
wife.

Hi,
I just wanted

Ron, thanks so much for this information. I tried it and it works. I am
interested in whether it is possible to create subsets of the major
database. I don't see in the handbook any information on creating
subfiles,
but it does seem as if the program is set up

Susan,
You can always have a master file - and then do a FILE, SAVE FAMILY FILE
AS... and give it a temp name (or meaningful name - whatever).
Then you can hack this second

Susan,
I am not really clear what you are trying to do, but first I would agree
with Bob- create a new file and play around with that.
I sort of have what I think you are thinking of in my file, but by accident!
I had in my tree a Margaret Mather who married
Hi Susan,
The easiest way is to tag the people you want and then export that
tagged group to a new Legacy file
File Export Legacy file
make sure you just choose to export the tagged group
and then run your report from that new file.
That's much quicker than unlinking people which, if you

Hi Susan,
Glad you have it sorted now. Once you learn these techniques, they
can be applied to so many different situations.
I suggest you make these subsets of your main family file, temporary
files or you'll get into a mess and forget which one(s) you've updated.
