Elaine, Double-click on the pin to zoom in and that should keep the pin
centered; keep doing that until you get close as you need to be. You can
also zoom in my increments (rather than continuous zoom) and that helps keep
the pin where you can still see it and allows you to adjust the map so

When I zoom in, I lose the pins and have to scroll around for it.
