Dawn,
for two files open, go to Split View. It is a button and/or an option
under View. Once in there you can change one of the duplicate views
for a second file.

Interesting. I never noticed that there were two sets of
maximize/minimize buttons.
How do you get Legacy to show you two databases at once? Mine seems to
close one file when I open another.

I can replicate your problem, I think, by changing that 'DPI setting' I
spoke of before to 110% normal
This is probably way off base, but just in case. Is it possible that you have
the program maximized, but the open family file minimized?

Hello to all and Particular thanks to Dave and Mitch.
Dave your suggestion solved the problem. I thought that I had changed the
DPI but had changed it to only 106 which was still too big. I had to take it
down to 96 and then it worked.
Thank you to everyone for your help and maybe the good th
Hi June,
If you uninstalled but didn't delete the files left in the Legacy
program folder (not the folders in it but the files) then you didn't
delete the .usr files and it is probably one of those that caused the
problem. You didn't do a full reinstall with Legacy recreating the

June,
I would try hitting maximize on the centre button. This will often
resolve your problem. Let me know what happens, Mitch

Hello Mitch
I uninstalled correctly and re-installed correctly because it asked for all
my information. I then chose to open the sample file rather than re-install
to see what would happen. Unfortunately I still have the same problem.

Hello Mitch
I am in the process of re-installing (after having done a back up) and
completely deleting Legacy. As soon as I see what happens I will advise. If
the problem remains I will go through your suggestions.
Thank you for taking the time to re-create the problem and try and assist. I

Hi June,
When you say you deleted Legacy, how did you do that? Did you
uninstall, and then check for any left-over files and folders? With the
exception of your data, of course). If you didn't, perhaps something
got left behind, and that one is the culprit?

Try right clicking in the blue bar at the top of the screen. It should

Is it
possible to change the size of the boxes?
The boxes actually look quite large with small text inside them?

June,
If you can see the top of the window (the big blue line), double click
on that and it should resize to fit the screen. If you can;t see it,
try to move the window down until you can.
Cheers, Mitch
