: [LegacyUG] new event (draft registration)

What I found really interesting was the date you used in your example: 12
September 1918 that exactly matches the date on the draft registration
I'm entering now. This is my first draft registration to process, so that's
quite a coincidence
Cathy, This is perfect!
Thanks for sharing.

Mary,
There already is one for Military Service (at least I don't think I added it).
If you wish to add a more specific one then go to ViewMaster ListsEvent

name and selecting the fields will enter the sentence
Here is what I do:
Source List Name: WW I Draft Registration Card - Cain, Nathan Forest
Type: WW I Draft Registration Card (I added this as a new Type)
Title: WW I Draft Registration Card, Newkirk, Kay Co, OK - Cain, Nathan Forest
Publication Facts: Ancestry.com. World War I Draft
I had set one up entitled Military Draft Registration as this
allows me to differentiate between someone who served in the military and
one who only registered for the draft.
Also, I set up the sentence structure as follows: [FirstName]
registered for the military draft for [Desc] [onDate]

A source is so someone can find the record. I think that the source
citation below is sufficient to find it
United States, World War I Selective Service System draft registration
cards, 1917-1918, M1509 (Washington, District of Columbia : The National
Archives, 1987-1988), Arthur Charles Oswald;
