The problem you will have with the split screen approach is that you cannot have both "sides" opened at the same time...so you would have to "glance" at one side...then close it and open up the side you are working on. Nadine, I suspect that your stepchild is only linked to you husband and needs to be linked to your husband and yourself as parents. It is perfectly in order for a child to have more than one set of parents. Click the child's Parent Icon and add yourself and husband as "link to existing parents".
