Pardon me for jumping in here, but maybe your portable drive has changed drive letters. If you have more than one flash drive or hard drive plugged into USB ports the drive letter may have changed. Check your paths in Options>customize>locations and be sure they show the same drive letter as t

The only reasons I can think that the images won't automatically update is that: 1) They have different file-names.  --  I rarely change the name.  Because of the size of the database and the prevalnce of some of the names ( I literally have 15 Joe Blows) I name the files by RIN and document type
