strip (or any portion thereof) and add a new character, it is added at
the head of the list -- as it has been since the ribbon function was

No! Only the first 8 characters in the box appear. If you add characters
to the end they will not show. If you are adding characters at the
beginning of the box then your statement is correct.

Sherry..maybe I used the wrong word... looking for a Ahnentafel Table with 2
columns one for the Paternal line and the other for the Maternal line with the
Ahnentafel numbering system with a divisional name of Parents 2 & 3 then
Grandparents 4 & 5 in one column and 6 & 7 in the other column.
That is not how it works, Brian. You can continue to add characters, but
each new one will push the oldest one off the list. If the pound symbol
is the last entered and does not show, then it is broken.

How many characters do you already have on the bar? There is a maximum
limit of 8. If you are trying to add a ninth it will not work. Excess
characters can be added to the box on the assign screen but they will
not appear on the character bar when you return.
