DNA results are important for genealogy research already, as noted earlier in

than it is appropriate to discuss in detail here. Short form: Some DNA data

I have an ancestor who married in 1777 and had 10 children between 1778 and
1795. On only one baptism record (dated 1785) he was described as a pauper.
This is obviously not an occupation (they are not recorded on the baptism
register) so what is the best way of recording this information
Pauper means very poor, usually on some sort of government assistance.

This is just my opinion. You are right, it isn't an occupation so I wouldn't
record it as an occupation event. I would probably just put it in the notes.
If I wanted to get this on his timeline, you could do a residence event and
then add John Doe was listed as a pauper on his daughter Jane
I know pauper means very poor, I was wondering how to enter the information. Is
there a predefined event that people use to record details of this type? Or
should I design an event of my own, or even just enter the information and
source in the person's notes?

Jay,
Did you add each burial site as a child of the cemetery? I would think, if the
burial sites were entered this way, a FGS report (it would be very longJ) could
then include each entrant and headstone photo. If not, I wonder if there is a
simple way to make all the entries a child of the
Mary,
No, I entered the image at where I thought was the appropriate place in the
Legacy Database. That being the Burial place pictures.
The logic escapes me as to why images in this place cannot be printed on
the normal Ancestor or Descendant reports.
If your reference to adding the image as a

1700's there was much government assistance (IMHO), but it could have
been church assistance.

Back then large families were the norm. But if you were not a farmer it was no
need in having these large famlies as there is none today.

Jay,
I made a custom cemetery event for my database, so that any grave photo
would print out in a descendant book report.
Are these people genetically linked in any way? Eg. groups of families at
same burial plot.
Maybe use ltools to change cemetery event to burial ?? (haven't tried this!)
So
Brian,
Thanks for a great response.
But I would offer this solution.
Make including Pics of Vital events an option (turn on/off like other
settings)
Include them after General Notes and before any Event records, starting
at left margin, use the same size images as designated elsewhere,
