You might want to look into "I-gotU", a standalone GPS product that continuously logs your latitude & longitude (I think every 10 seconds is the default). It can work with ANY digital camera. You just need to make sure both have the same time at the start of your trip. I use the model GT-120. It

True and magnetic north have no effect on GPS accuracy. It is only relevant if you are navigating with it. Getting into datums is really beyond the scope of this group and is a little complex. The differences in the datums that GPS units use will be far smaller than the overall error in the G
