Hello Cathy
I loved reading about your aunt and the family relations--I distinctly
remember being dressed down by my third cousin's aunt (my second
cousin once removed) for correcting where her grandfather had died.
She had been told where and THAT was the place, despite showing her
his death

How do I get rid of the phrase Kathleen ( or other name) married someone

she did have a child out of wedlock. No name for a father has presented

Hi Judy,
First make sure that the didn't marry box is ticked in the Marriage Information
screen. Then look at the wording options and enter whatever you like.

Nothing pretentious about me, Mike. Many, many confirmations occurred on
Quasi, a particular holiday in the church calendar. However, if I convert it
to the actual date, the significance of the holiday is lost. Yes, I could

I'm curious to know how you use a Legacy wall chart for family reunions. I

from relatives? How else do you use Legacy to prepare for a reunion?
Thanks,
Here is the type of report that I should like to suggest. It would be
nice if we could control which facts we would include in the text.
It is just one direct line between a person and his/her ancestor and the
creator should be able to specify which person and which ancestor.

I like to pick the HOUR GLASS chart and start at the grandparent. Yes,
it does mean printing 4 charts to get everyone, but using this chart
allows me to show both past generations and current generations
(cousins, etc). Of course, there is some duplication between the 4
charts, but I like being
Jane,
Tag the persons you want in the report
First Ancestors of Jane WellsTag with #1
Second Descendants of James Hutslar Tag with #2
Search for Tag 1 2 = Tagged
Tag those results as Tag #3
Export all Tag #3 to new Gedcom File,
SELECT Which fields you want IN the report
Exclude any
PS , I did try your solution and I (not the soluntion) failed.

Thank you for trying, but you do not understand my level of expertise.
I have a big problem with tagging among other things. I just need to be
able to click on a report which, instead of giving me all of a person's
ancestors, gives only one direct line, and to include the bmd info as

Tagging is VERY easy and will not change any of your data.
Please try and see how simple this can be for you...
You do not realize that anyone can do this, even you.

I have spent most of the day working on a problem in Legacy 8.0.0.427.
It started with the discussion here about unlinking disproved
people/lines. Which made me think that I would really like to have the
program put some kind of color/letter/designation of some kind next to
people that you
Heeren,
The easiest way to fix it is to go to the View tab, Master Lists and pick the

highlight that in the list and then click the button Show List to see who has

A couple of things. Since you have been unlinking people, you might want to
check to see how many “trees” you have in your file. This will show you how
many unlinked people you have or groups of people (they are linked together but
not to your main tree). Go to View Trees. Click the

I love the style and content of this report and feel it would be a wonderful

Yes, that would be a very useful type of report.

Sally,
Did you find the problem with the unlinked ancestor?
Were they really unlinked or did you just need to re-set relationships to have
the relationship show?
I'm not sure how you tagged the unlinked. Perhaps you searched for those not
related? or did you use the View - Trees and tag from
Jane,
here is a detailed list of steps for you
Make a backup copy of your Legacy database
Go to Jane Wells
Click on the menu bar EDIT go to TAG RECORDS
First we need to make sure that tags 1,2 and 3 are clear of any existing
tags
click on UNTAG radio button,
It should already say Make Changes
Turns out none of the software was the problem but I needed to name the Gedcom
file before creating it then it worked fine.

Just a thought - if it's only a few people, I put [[unlinked]] in the Title

The Content IE5 in the path is not significant to the version of IE on

What you need to do in Legacy is Restore your latest zip. Make sure you
control where the file is restored to and give it a new name without all
