The reason I ask is that the error is an Access database issue and always occurs just after i have keyed a date into (or tabbed away from) the date field in the Add/Edit Event dialog. Allow me to make one final suggestion to everything that Cathy has already mentioned. BEFORE you install Legacy v8 on your computer, make a backup of your v7.5 family file. You might even want to become paranoid and save that backup to a flash drive or some other place off of your computer. In
