I have been given a very old fdb file by a friend
who wants me to look at it to enable migration of
the data to a newer family tree software i.e.

It was last modified in 1998 according to the

I too have been using DropBox – it is a fantastic tool in which one can go from
laptop to computer to another laptop wherever you are. I always have an account
open at all times on whatever PC/laptop I am on so that whenever I use Legacy,
it goes straight to the DropBox file. I have never experi

time creating reports that require the use of "ibid", and no longer use Legacy
to do so, I use just Word, which creates a LOT of extra work. Marianne

Hi
Excuse my ignorance but isn't there a "missing date" facility already on
Legacy? This should help you to find dates (and other info) that contain blank
fields.
Would that work if there was only a year available but not the day/month? Or
the other way round?
Thanks,

You do not say whether or not the charts actually do have a ‘Y’ in them, and if
so which Chart creation program are you using?. I only generate charts from a
GEDCOM using one program and they do not.
