Martha, Don,
The application installs on the computer, not Dropbox. DB won't let you
install executables on its servers. I use Dropbox to store all files
related to my gen data. But before I open Legacy, RootsMagic or TMG, I
turn syncing with Dropbox off. Then open my app and the files.
Steve,
Paul is correct. Your desktop and laptops using Dropbox have a folder
that is called Dropbox. Anything you save there is synchronized to the
cloud Dropbox server. Anything synced to the cloud server from one
computer is also synced to your other devices. If you are offline in a

It could be more like Microsoft Office products, where you subscribe to
the software, such as Word, and you can save your documents in your
OneDrive account or on your computer or another cloud storage, such as

Has there been any timeline released yet as to when we will be able to
import data tables from The Master Genealogist without going through a
gedcom? I fear that with FTM's end of life that Legacy's development to

data in The Master Genealogist.
Getting anxious,

Jim Terry,
Your article is fine if one has MS Access on their computer. Further,
this article is getting close to being two years old. I would hope that
the folks that write the updates for Legacy would have had added support
for same sex marriages long before now.

Barry,
The best source in genealogical research and data recording for living
people is the actual people. Call the couple and ask them for the
details. Don't worry about if it's legal, as Brian suggested. Its not
up to you as a gen researcher to track legalities, you just need the
facts.
I also volunteered several months ago and have heard nothing. Status?

Dawn,
I, too, am looking at eventually moving from TMG to another program. I
came across the announcement a couple of months ago about Legacy
building an import tool for TMG users. I couldn't find any updates on
its status so recently joined this forum in hopes of learning more about
the tool's
in Legacy!
