Martha, Don, The application installs on the computer, not Dropbox. DB won't let you install executables on its servers. I use Dropbox to store all files related to my gen data. But before I open Legacy, RootsMagic or TMG, I turn syncing with Dropbox off. Then open my app and the files.

Barry, The best source in genealogical research and data recording for living people is the actual people. Call the couple and ask them for the details. Don't worry about if it's legal, as Brian suggested. Its not up to you as a gen researcher to track legalities, you just need the facts.
