This is not the appropriate place for general research questions. You could check Rootsweb mailing lists for a group that's specific to researching in Germany that might be more helpful. We'd be more than happy to help you get Legacy and your data files on your laptop to take with and synching

It is depressing but true that in all my various trips to various depositories, I have NEVER had all the info I needed to make optimal use of the facility. Even when I used a Palm Pilot and carted *ALL* the information in my database on it, there was always a name in something at the archive
