by family, by village and by church.
When I started using this I made an old-style source just called The
Weald Web site, but I would really like to start using source writer

material was in bound volumes or not etc... (how would you know when

Thanks to all for the advice. Generic Online database seems to be the
way to go.
The info from that site seems to be a mixture of census data, FreeBMD
data and church transcriptions. Some of it is a bit flaky, but at least
they say where the info comes from. That way, most of it can be
