I am new to this mailing list so my apologies if it has been covered before.
I have been using Legacy for over 20 years and have a tree with about 7000
names including over 4000 living, most of which are recorded with full
contact details including email phone and physical addresses and occupation.

Jim Terry,
Your article is fine if one has MS Access on their computer. Further,
this article is getting close to being two years old. I would hope that
the folks that write the updates for Legacy would have had added support
for same sex marriages long before now.

We don't understand the process for prioritisation of bugs. From look

Its not always to my advantage to update the program, but I am sure that there
is value behind the changes.
As a software tester by profession, I wouldn't categorize this as a bug. It is
an enhancement to add this functionality to the program. And as Jim stated, it
will affect most of the program.

It is secrecy. The bug list is not publicly available. Let's get version 8
working correctly before worrying about 9 or are we going to
wished I hadn't upgraded as I am not sure what I got apart from
numerous problems.

Thanks for your prompt reply Jim.
The use of a word processor to amend final text is clearly far easier in my
case than attacking the database with MS Access even though I do have and use
that. I am concerned that the fix will leave my
