whether that is in the middle of a word or not.

wish you luck with that then
I know I have the opposite problem - I have the lack of spaces between
words, but I'm just correcting those as I find them.

I know you don't want to go the GED route on this but you
may have a limited number of other options.
There are a number of manual-labor choices, though, and I've
had experience with those, so if want details, ask.
IME no program will do this correctly and automatically.
One has to either fix

After looking at your example, I agree that it could well be a problem with
double spaces.
Explanation:
Words and characters wrap differently with different fonts, views, etc.
What’s at the end of one line in one view or font could be in the middle of a
following line in another view or font.
I would guess this situation was caused by a GEDCOM export that broke the
words with spaces at the end of a line.
In Legacy, when you export, you can go to Customize of a GEDCOM and break
the lines at the end of words and then this word breakup won't occur on
export.

Dave is correct about the usual source of the problem. However, I
think in Jay's case, the Ged's were long ago assimilated or were
included in contributions that he received.
I have thought about this problem and do not see an easy way to fix

John and all,
You are correct.
The problem occurred many, many years ago, and even then, when the
reasoning was discovered, it was too late to re-import the data.
For awhile, many others had the same problem and I admit, I just sat back,
in hopes that someone would come up with an automated
