I need a RETAIL VERSION (none of those machine-specific bundled ones)
of the Snow Leopard install DVD. Doesn't have to have the box, just as
long as it's the complete, official disc (no burnt copies) and isn't
scratched up.

My wife and I use an application called "Reunion", which is supposed
to be the best Mac geneaology software out there.
If you want to use FTM, you'll have to install Windows on your Mac

CHEAP! Can be around 20GB or so (don't need anything huge). Don't have
to be Apple originals, just as long as they're compatible.

made for ADB macs, I remember using it at an old job of mine.
It's called the "Little Mouse" made by Mouse Systems. It's quite a bit

Good luck finding one. I am personally unaware of any optical (or
scroll-wheel, for that matter) mice existing in ADB. You'd probably
have better luck getting one of those USB-to-ADB adapters and use a
USB mouse, but from what I've seen, those adapters are pretty pricey.

CAN run the scanner in X by purchasing SILVERFAST scanning software.
We have a Powerlook 1100 at work, bought Silverfast (for about $40-50)
