Just a guess, but it's probably the composer/editor's helpful instruction to sing an eighth note and breathe instead of singing a full quarter. But don't use it...the apostrophe/comma above the barline tells the singers all they need to know. The note in parentheses is an added distraction. The

that is okay if the attachments are relatively small. One way to keep them small is to post only the parts of the music that you are having trouble with, and crop out the rest. I doubt that anyone would have a problem with an attachment that was 30 kilobytes or smaller. --Larry
