Heike,
I'm not sure I understand the problem... Weren't the MP3s already
imported on the Win side when you ported the project to Mac?
In D8.0 i Drag dropped an MP3 on the castLib and made a sprite with

Is there a way to publish shockwave movies with a backward player
compatibility? There must be, right?
Nope. Nor is there a way to downgrade a movie from 8 to 7 (or less) after
its been upgraded (or created in 8). Sorry to

Hi,
I'm currently working on a project that is a series of shockwave files
playing in a browser from a CD-ROM. The project uses many of the standard
xtras that are shipped with Shockwave 8.5 player however, the 'mix
services' and 'Sound Import Export' xtras are also needed. These are
Hi
I too faced some problems with mp3z on the MAC.
SO I just made them to 'swa' and they worked fine.
Same quality, size...works well.

1: Somebody (Colin?) once posted a hexEditor trick, whereby you
could downgrade a movie.
I tested this trick, and it appeared to work. It is of course
provided that you do not use any features not available in the older
format.
I don't remember where the trick is documented, so go search.

Director will only output files of the same version as itself, so for
SW 8.0 you will need D8.0.
Director movies (.dir) are not backwards
Might it be your old QuickTime version? I noticed you mentioned something
about QT4. Try upgrading to QT6.

So let me understand the situation ...
#1 - under Windows, you IMPORTED the .MP3 files as non-linked.
(this created #sound cast members)
#1a - these sounds play fine in Win-Auth Win-Projector
#2 - you moved the .dir to Mac
- these sounds play in Mac-Auth, but fail in a mac-projector?

Hi...
First, thank's all for the answers.
I don't know what happened, but I tried with
add gPontosTimeline, gEscale * .
and all goes fine :-/
The minus 1 was a dirty trick to get a 0 value in my slider bar, but not in
it response, cause I will ask for a cast member 0. :-(
