Any ideas as to how to grab the first frame of a quicktime movie in a projector. Basically I want to create quicktime thumbnail images on the fly so that I can change external quicktime movies without having to manually change the images in the director movie. methods tried so far include:

I had that problem on my latest dir project... I used ACDsee to browse through my videos folder and i created a HTML thumbnail page It generates thumbnails from the first frame of the QT file in jpeg or gif format you can specify the size of the thumb too. Hope this helps.

Alternatively, you can also just type %0d. I'd use URLencode to encode the entire string, or simply type the hex code of the character with % in front, which is all URL encoding does. If you just want individual characters, it's simpler and faster to do it that way. - Robert - Original
