Ok, if I tell lingo: x = preloadNetThing(URL) I will be able to get MANY informations from it, using GetStreamStatus(x).bytestotal GetStreamStatus(x).bytessofar, etc the thing is: How can I get the 'BYTESTOTAL' information of a file WITHOUT having to download or preload this file? Luiz

I'm just wondering if anyone knows the exact details of how Mac projectors are created? Are all Mac projectors Carbonised, thus meaning they can run on MacOS 8.6+ (with CarbonLib) and OSX, or does one have to create separate OS9 and OSX projectors? Pretty sure it's separate. Also what happ

Presumably so. I'm not aware of any kind of "dual" projector, and since Apple has phased out OS/9 support, it means a projector for OS/X must now be Carbonized (for non-programmers, this means written/built such that it runs under OS/X). Since an OS/X application won't run on OS/9, and an OS/
