Director doesn't provide horizontal scroll bar to a text fields. Well, you
can program a scroll bar which moves text fields horizontaly on the stage.
Split the lengthy text field into two or three text fields and place these
sprites side by side on the stage.

You can't import the fonts.
To have a font inside Director Movie as member use
Insert Media element Font
Choose a font which is installed in the system and click ok.

You can control Flash movie variables using setVariable and getVariable from
Director.
You need to set the visibality of a movie clip to true/false depending upon
a flag (hide, see below script) inside Flash movie and change this flag
value from Director using setVariable.

try using open command

e.g open "C:\Sreedhar\VB.exe"
I dont think it is possible to control a standalone exe from lingo except
opening and may be possible using 3rd party xtras like MasterApp and
BuddyAPI etc.,
