Presumably, people who worked on the Shockwave 8.5 player are working under
a non-disclosure agreement. But then, with your experience, I figured you'd
know that :-)
Maybe they call it something else in Ireland.

Yes, I have--thanks, Rich. I've run some limited tests, and it seems to be
specific to the XML Parser Xtra.

No error--it looks like it downloads it. It's strange, though--when I look
in Windows/System/Macromed/Shockwave 8/Xtras, I see a lot of other Xtras,
but not XMLParser.X32.

Not until you suggested it :-) Same result, though.

They? Colin, with your knowledge and experience, I figured you were

Not exactly.. I believe it depends how the server has been setup to handle
the situation. I'm pretty sure that I have been successful in downloading a
package
the actual URL is:

Yes, you're right. I tried that and it works--it brings up the file
download dialog.
I tried something very similar last night--exactly the same url, except I
asked for the .x32 file. Of course it
Last ditch attempt here...
I ran into a problem when creating a stub from a .dir with no xtras in it to
keep the startup size down. However I then ran into problems running
subsequent .dxr that did need xtras. For some reason they still didn't
trigger when I included the xtras required in my
