Hi list, I made a shockwave Xmas game in director 8, which runs fine in director and also works fine locally in a browser - but when I try to load it from the web server, I get a "script error" alert box straight away on the first frame, basically crashing the whole thing. I'm "a bit" baffled,

Hi, My guess is I think you are trying to change the sprites' member in the beginning which is not loaded yet. Try preloading the whole movie or the member itself before you change the sprite's member. regards - Ramesh CT [To remove yourself from this list,

Common culprits: --using an Xtra. This is less likely here, in that you say it works fine in a local browser. --case-sensitivity in pathnames (if on Unix-compatible servers). This is often the case if you are trying to work with external casts or other media --Lingo that is not allowed in
