Hi Rich -
I use Exceed on Win 2000 too and I've switched from using xdm to kdm. kdm
gives a better login interface *and it gives a user the ability to choose
from the various window managers installed on the system.

If you have this version of Linux running under VM and have 3480 tapes, I
would like you to DDR you disk to tape and bring me a copy of it. If you do
this I will buy you a drink at SPLASH. :) I might even buy your lunch on

It's not fixed in the GA version. You have to fix it in
/etc/httpd/httpd.conf.

XDM is running on Linux under vm.
I'm able to login to the Linux via XDM which then brings up the KDE desktop
environment on my workstation.
I have a user that would like to use the GNOME desktop.
My question is how can I invoke GNO

From what I can see it is just wrong in the SuSE packages. It
looks like they decided to change it and did not complete the
work. But I have not seen their GA code

Here are my reasons:
1. Across-the-board compatibility for middleware components without
compromising the power of the mainframe. This is something we didn't get
with OS2, RS-6000/AIX or OMVS.
2. Uniformity.
3. Eliminates OSF/SUN/Unix confusion (finally!).
My 2 cents.

Would you please change settings of your E-mail client so that it doesn't

As you have seen, these cyrillic characters caused a lot of aggravation
among the list subscribers.

Change permissions in httpd.conf (i think, you are trying to connect from

Eric,
I would guess the driver could still be considered experimental. I've been
using it for quite a while though, even before the ISP/ASP Redbook came out,
and I've never had a problem with the driver.

Does it work like the Host On-Demand product where users "pull" the client
