adapters ( TR, EN)? we have a machine running suse7
and we are trying to start the ethernet adapter while
the TR adapter is up using the same module but it wont
load.

I installed a newer version of the FTP server ProFTP v
1.2.6 and that solved the problem. I am not sure if
it's a compile option that suse used or what for the
original version 1.2.2. I just complied with the
default options.

a) Your kernel - 2.4.x support files larger than 2
Gbytes, 2.2.x don't.
b) libc - glibc 2.2 supports files larger than 2

then they are correct. On windows a ping will be tried
4 times and then it gives up. on linux/unix you need
to add the -w flag to the ping command to indicate how
long to wait in secs for a response otherwise it will
