ftp to put them into the z/os jes2 spool where they are then archived in
CA-View (formerly SAR).

For Omegamon we use Velocity's ESALPS
For Backup in the Linux filesystem space we use FDR/UpStream
For Backup at the z/VM level we use DF/DSS (from z/OS as we have no tapes
on z/VM)
For provisioning we also use Mainstar's Provisioning Expert for Linux
(PEL)

The requirement is to run SRDF-A (async) on all of the linux guests to
keep the data in sync between production and remote site in case of a
disaster. I guess we could do a chron to do a synch every few minutes to
help with currency.

999 to ensure a unique name. Right now an excel worksheet is used. This is
not something that is new so my thinking was that there had to be an
application for assigning host names and tracking information about them.
