We are looking at moving a UDB database to zLinux that will require encryption of the database. We are running RHEL 5.2 under zVM5.4 on z10 hardware with Crypto coprocessor available. What options are avialable that would allow us to provide encryption?( DB2 is at V8 with plans on moving to V9)

I have been charged with investigating something that my management has heard in regards to porting Cobol code to Linux-390. He has heard that there have been companies that have done this. Has anyone done this? Is Cobol available on Linux-390? Was it a true port or a conversion to another language
