I just noticed that my DTCVSW2 controller is showing Error: BACKUP Not ready
from the q vswitch command (probably not a good thing). Looks like the paths
are online. Does anybody know how to get the backup controller DTCVSW2 back
into a “ready” state (without taking an TCPIP burp or outage)?

After a few searches and actually scanning the CP commands and utilities
manual, hopefully I can get some help with this z/VM related question. If I
have a z/linux guest called ztrash01, I can logon to z/VM as ztrash01, IPL
