Hello,
yes that's the solution. I had an old channel.conf with "1" at the CA-place.
With "0" the two cards did what I expected!
Thank you.

Hello guys,
I just bought a Netsystem.com "SAT modem PCI" satellite internet and digital
TV receiver card (the board is also known as Sky2PC from B2C2 and
Technisat); do any of you know where to find Linux drivers and s/w for this
card?
Thanks for your help, best regards.

Hi
I sold my old PC where I have been running VDR for over
a year, but I am having problems now when I have moved
the card to another old PC.
As I am still on a 2.2 kernel (2.2.19) I downloaded
the DVB driver version 0.8.2 and the VDR version 0.7.2
The hardware driver compiles fine and loads OK,

It would be possible, of course, but
What device would I point a client to, assuming that I had tuned the
card with DTV and the tuxzap client?

hi rolf.
my questions about dtv:
teletext:
is there a possibility to use another font for teletext, if possible
somthing straigth without serifes ? the current font is hard to read
since the osd shrinked.
channel preview (menu):
could you reverse the channels list ?
most remotes got "+" above
Are there maybe changes in the CI-API ?? Could this be a step forward to
the CI Funtions like ci-menue and ci-settings ???

hi all.
i have problems using ppv channels (like c*ned*m etc...) with vdr.
dtv can tune them without problems but vdr shows only a black screen.
has anybody experienced the same ?
btw.: the cam doesnt seem to recognize a new channel when restarting
vdr. you have to switch forth and back to ac

Hello,
i think there were also changes in the CI handling with the lates CVS,
because the driver will "number" the cards an bind a CI to e.g. dvb1 ore
dvb2. You could see this on the kernel-screen, and i have tested it with 2
different CI´s on my both cards...
Could it possible that from now on

hi,
i've been thinking about this for some time now.
the linux dxr3 drivers seem to get usable (with pal ...) (my impression,
never had the time to test).
the dxr3 needs the a/v-streams demuxed into 2 devices.
BUT, it has (at least no supported) osd capabilities.
it would also feature a usable s
With the latest CVS driver VDR locks up when trying to display
something on the OSD. I tracked this down to the BlitBitmap() call
in DVB/driver/dvb.c's OSDSetBlock(). Apparently the dvb->bmp_state
never changes to anything !=BMP_LOADING, so it hangs in the 'while (1)'
loop inside BlitBitmap().

imho there is no way to compare the very high quality of the tv-out from
the dvb-x card with any (and I've seen approx 8 different cards in the last
years) tv-out of a graphics-card ... I really don't understand how this can
even be considered ..
just my two cents

No, I don't
You need a special version of ac3dec which you will find in the tools
directory in the ALSA CVS. That one has been modified to combine mix-down
of ac3 to pcm and to forward the original ac3 stream to an IEC958 device
via the alsa libs.

Use "ntuxzap -e" or tuxzap with the pengiun button pressed, or rtuxzap
and dvr enabled, i.e. with -e optio

Use the ac3dec from the alsa-tols cvs package !

Hello,
Point1: when I start ac3dec I get the message "No accelerated IMDCT transform found".
What does it mean?
Point2: I can't start ac3dec with any option.
Thanks

Hello,
I tried to control dvdplayer with dvdplayer.tcl
I started dvdplayer with options on the first console
and on the second I tried to start dvdplayer.tcl localhost 2002
The following is what I got:
Application initialization failed: no display name and no $DISPLAY environment variable

Hi,
my VDR locks up very often.
The situation:
If I have EPG-Scan enabled, VDR runs not longer than 6-8 hours.
If I disable EPG-Scan, VDR locks up on recording (on the 2nd card)
sometimes.
Kernel messages:
ERROR: channel 29 not sync'ed!

ac3dec will do .. just use "ac3dec -C " to send the stream to the spdif
output.

Hello,
where can I get ac3play or ac3spdif?
Or can I also use ac3dec to send the stream to the SPDIF of my soundcard?
Thanks
