Hi,
the Technisat Viola/DigitelMo 1 (PCMCIA) DVB-T card is available at very
low cost (ca. 19.- Euro in Germany), so I was considering buying one.

Evgen, all,
I'm only a stupid newbie in the linuxtv world,
but from my experience with CAM cards it seems to me that Eugen's observation
is correct but not precious:
IMHO, the sequence should be (from the DVB-CI standard):

Good morning, ladies & gents!
I've just received a new Hauppauge WinTV Nova-HD-S2 from Germany which is
Hauppauge's new budget DVB-S2 card. I was wondering if there are any plans
to support this card in the driver, whether just for DVB-S or for DVB-S2
also?
The kind folks at Hauppauge Germany ha

At this point I am able to attach both, the demod (mt352) and the tuner
(mt2060).
Registers can be read from both chips. I use Kaffeine as DVB player.
Next step is to manage to tune channels. It seems the Pinnacle USB protocol
needs to be analyzed in a more detailed way.

But only for SDTV, when I saw HDTV using my card and totem-xine,
it seems good for about 2 mins and then it gives me bad performance.
What is the problem? Is it the hardware or the movie player?
Which player
Hi,
I'm trying to port the stb0899 driver snapshot to run on top of current
v4l-dvb - most of it is pretty straightforward, I'm down to 1 line that needs
fixing:
rc = dvb_pll_configure(&dvb_pll_philips_sd1878_tda8261, buf, p->frequency, 0);
What's the proper way to replace that? (Right now, my

If this is the level to be expected in this list, I fear I will loose more time
reading it than testing new kernels and eventually patching them to make
my USB adapter work. It's really sad :( I got the solution from the
