After trying to have it working under Mandriva 2008, it is not anymore
recognized (a in XP).
So I guess i have erased some data for identification.
Is there any way to restore the identification data (firmware ?) on a
DVB-T ?

As an alternative you could compile the dvb-kernel driver into the kernel. It's very
easy to do and works great.
devfs is depricated under 2.6, did you compile it in?
Have you got the firmware image installed?

I've just recently got my hands on a hauppage Nova-t card. I'm running
Redhat Fedora with the default kernel and DVB driver 1.01.
The problem is I can't get the card to work in Linux unless I've tuned a
channel in windows and then perform a soft reboot into Linux If I cold
boot into lin
Is the dvb-kernel already in the 2.6.1 tree? I was under the impression
that this card required Mark Edward's driver, see

I've managed to work around the problem. My ISDN TA is an external BT Ignition Pro.
I've changed it over to the USB connection instead of the serial port and it works as

video cable was always conected between TV set and card. It looks
to me that the video output is broken ( the driveres are loaded with no
error message) Is there a posibility to use this card again ? on RGB or
YC mode ?

Do I only have to add a new *_set_tv_freq() function and change

after switching to vdr-1pre4 I also changed from dvb-9.4 to latest
CVS. But with the new dvb driver just the Nova card gets
activated. The Haupauge dvb (old rev.) not.

Did anything changed within the new dvb driver ???

Are there any specs available for the STV0299 demodulator (which is part
of the BSRU6-502A DVB tuner in the latest winTV NOVA cards).
I just want to monitor FE_READ_BER, FE_READ_SIGNAL_STRENGTH, FE_READ_SNR
and FE_READ_UNCORRECTED_BLOCKS from the frontend device (some extra read
ioctl's n
can't reboot the receiver remotely which makes him unusable!
How can we further investigate this problem. Don't hesitate to ask
additional information.
