Ever since upgraging from Firefox 2.* to 3.0.7, the browser randomly but
FREQUENTLY closes for no **apparent** reason. Unfortunatly, about:crashes
doesn't seem to work on Linux, so I have no idea where to look for the
reason. I've looked at all the usual logs and ~/.mozilla/* and found nothing.

Download a new version and install it. In the past this is how I got over the
problem. Also some Cookies are so friendly that they do damage also.

Ctrl-Shift-X will do that in all Mozilla applications, not addon necessary.

That's why I want to know which extensions you use. I have also had
some crashes
Thanks to Moshe and Dotan for their replies. Let me clarify a couple of
things.
1 - I do know about safe-mode and yes, Moshe, it does work in Linux, but that
doesn't help discover what was causing the crash.
2 - Like both of you, I also suspect an add-on, but I have a large number of
them - pro
I almost forgot. There is an addon that detects problem in other
extensions, it is meant for developers. You would install that
extension and a suspect extension in a new profile, browse for a bit,
then check for errors. I don't have details at the moment (I'm no on

I decided that as a temporary measure, I'll disable FLASH to see if this
solves the problem. If not, I'll start playing around with extensions. I'll
let you know if I find out anything.
