I commited the latest version of Jakob's Software-RAID HOWTO to CVS
yesterday, it should be available as Software-RAID-0.90-HOWTO as soon as the
next updates get uploaded to the LDP site. We're behind, but working on it.

I've been told (by Jakob) that the limit of 12 disks per md device is just
a typo in the code. I'm trying to make a 14-drive linear array. I tried
changing MAX_REAL from 12 to 14 in md_k.h (and then even recompiled
raidtools) but mkraid still complains about the limit being 12. is there
any wa

Did you read this one? The LDP one is ancient (long story)

read the readme at the AMI site.

Hi
This is a simple question but is difficult for me. I want to install a
bootable-RAID 1 for 2 SCSI hard drive in the same controller. The kernel
is 2.2.12 accompanying OS Redhat 6.1. Here is my RAID plan
disk partition mount pt. sizedevice

I have a virgin system. I have two 9 Gig drives and Debian GNU/Linux.
I want to create raid1 of /var and /home
What's the best way to go about this?
The software-RAID Howto is very _unclear_.

Hey there guys, got a question for you. I just received one of
these cards and it is basically a dual channel raid system. The problem
I am having is that RH6.1 recognizes the first drive and only the first
drive. Here is the config.
Dual Channel Controller.
Channel 1 Contains 2 - 9.1GB dr

Does it affect the performance of RAID 1?
If I have set 4k chunk at the /etc/raidtab and then mk2fs -b 4096
/dev/md0 , does this mean that the md driver will write one block of data
to eac
I have two disks in my machine: sda and sdb
I installed Debian GNU/Linux on sda with sda10 as my /home partition.
sdb is purely for raid uses. I created the equivalent partions on sdb
as are on sda. Is it possible to turn this sda10 into /dev/md0 without
tar-ing the data and putting it in a tempo
Did anyone succeed in compiling the DPT driver for the SmartRaid V in
the kernel (not as module)?

Hi all.
This error was stucked in since raid-0.90-something-in-november-last IIRC, and now w/
tigher
integration into official kernel tree, it should be corrected (actually it should be
corrected
months ago, but...)
The location of md.h is not under , but inside .
Is a little thing, since no
