So the current s/w raid stuff will end up migrating into 2.3.x
as well?

Probably 2.3

Side question... I noticed that the KNI stuff was stripped going into
2.2.11-ac3 (rightly so), so is 2.2.12 g

He sent me a reply email in which he indicated he would pull the 0.90
patches from 2.2.12pre before the 2.2.12 final if they continue to
cause confusion. Seems that there is not enough documentation clearly
stating what needs to be done if someone is using stock kernel before
2.2.12pre with raid

Actually, maybe I didn't send this to the list just to a previous poster,
but I discovered that Alan Cox has integrated

And actually this patch has been superceded by 2.2.12-pre3, which is at
ftp://ftp.us.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/alan/2.2.12pre/patc
Supposedly support will be integrated into 2.2.12, no patch required.
No mention of a patch for 2.2.11 yet... Someone correct me if I'm
wrong.

To make the patching a little bit clearer. raid0145-0.90-2.2.10.bz2 is only
for the kernel 2.2.10, not for a kernel with ac, not for 2.2.11 or
whatever, it's for 2.2.10 standard. There could have been minor changes, and the
whole patch doesn't apply anymore. Then you have to do it by hand.
The ne
you can use the 2.2.11-ac3 patch
it includes the 0.90 raid driver
