Hello Everyone
Just calling in for a short time. Trying to help a young man find some
Linux based WORK, even as a volunteer.
If you have any ideas an off list reply might be best.
Also if you are a RealContacts member, a link to myself would be
appreciated.

I solved that using the word processor and a macro.
Important for me because my ISP, Cyberxpress is killing 250+ every

Hello Everyone
This relates to my new business. Stop reading now if you choose.
Where else can I find a group of skilled users to do a test

I'm concerned that the internet skills of most people are weak.
To highlight that I have developed a survey which is online at

Rowan asked about getting email with strange characters. The little

The most likely thing Rowan is that someone wrote a letter in a word
processor and did a copy and paste into the email client.

Hello All
I'm looking of general support and understanding for a business idea
at the moment. You may or may not have ideas or expertise to offer at
the moment, that's OK. I'm just quietly extending the network of
people who know what I'm thinking.

Hello Christopher
I think their policy is IE and Netscape Only, anything else is a

I'm mostly in win95, until recently I could use IE and Mozilla but
not Opera 6. Opera 7 works fine.
With opera 6, I could open the site, enter my details, prepare a

It is my belief that the lack of information literacy is a problem in
Christchurch. People buy computers but are not properly supported to
become competent users. Hope you find this useful.
Feedback would be appreciated.
The World Summit on the Information Society is organised by the

The WSIS will be held at Geneva in December 2003, and in Tunis in

There is no agreed position for Civil Society in NZ. There is a list
anyone can join. Contact me if you are interested. It's a list for

But maybe that's not correct. I'd be interested to hear from anyone

Obstacles to the free flow of information online

exposes truth to those who wish to see and hear it. It is
I promise, short and informative.
Even people named Julia will be able to understand it, I think Paul,
Sam and Samantha are OK too.
The debate may go on for weeks but what I have to say will not.

Are your Information Literate? Is your family?

If the meeting is short of juicy topics on Wednesday I can offer.
5 Minutes on WSIS. It could be that somebody's quietly stealing the
Internet from under your nose. There's a lot of government and
commercial pressure to do things that you are opposed too.
