Gordon,
Resign from what? From his position at NSI, maybe?
I thought that as CEO he is accountable to his shareholders, not to the
Internet Community (not even to speak about the IFWP list).

Hi Dave,
As much as I liked this article, I don't
believe that it answered Gordon's questions:
"Why do we need ICANN in the first place?"
"What is it going to take before you say: Esther and Mike -
you have failed the process. You and ICANN are outta here."
Also, I'm suprised that it is

Fascinating and imaginative hypothesis by a wonderful

With that said, however, the hypothesis plainly doesn't
hold together.

Carl and all,
All good points in your bullets here. I think we here at

could agree with your draft for the most part.
The should be some emphasis placed on "Reverse Name Hijacking"
provisions in final policy, that is not even mentioned in ICANN's version
or Ken Stubbs version either
Rutt in his Rutt report said he cared about the internet. That one
of his highest priorities was to preserve the freedom and
independence of the Internet.
Today I heard from a source with primary knowledge that Pincus wasn't

Well it seems that you are correct Bill. I think this is
an ample
opportunity to see if the ICANN (Initial?) Interim Board has the stuff
to enforce their "Accreditation Policy" and "Registrar Agreement",
which I assume CORENIC singed. My guess is that ICANN will

Diane and all,
DIane, Ken Stubbs knows that he deliberately and with malice, mislead
folks. He should not have done that. However he has a long
history of doing so. Carl O. pointed out clearly just how far folks
