I would like to add Pfsense monitoring to my managed services software,
but I can't seem to find any mibs for it anywhere. If I can get a set
of mibs and build a monitoring script I think more managed services
would adopt Pfsense over some of the other firewalls.

I apologize if this goes twice. I sent it out with a screenshot then
figured that would probably not go through the list.

Do you have a static address? If so you may want to add a reverse
lookup record. Many ISPs won't accept mail from dynamic addresses or
reverse IP as a way of filtering potential spam.

Well, first thing you want to do it ping the dns name to see if it
matches your IP you used. It should not matter if you use a domain name

Apparently the Git option is not longer valid to upgrade 2.0.1 to 2.1
since so much has changed. Does anyone know if there is an upgrade
image someplace or do I need to backup the settings and wipe it all?

You could make DHCP reservations for the people you want, and put those
in a specific range. Then use the traffic shaper to define how, and
when you want to restrict the traffic.

Probably, yes, although you still need rules, based on your description.
How have you configured the switchport that the pfSense box is plugged
into?
Also, the SSID name has nothing to do with the VLAN tag... do you have a
'smart' WiFi AP that has been configured to put that "Guest" SSID on the

I have multiple VLANs running across a two HP switches to a pfSense appliance
setup this way. I don't have the wireless as you have but I don't see how it
would be different.

I would like to push all web traffic through a VPN connection, but since
the VPN is a bit slower, have the rest of the traffic go out through the
WAN.
