The prior release I had loaded, worked with your hack. When I started /View this
morning with your
hack, the demo came back saying I was on an old release and would I like to
update it. Ok.
So I downloaded the new version and installed it. It doesn't work (on win98/NT)
as far as
net acces
The version of /View for win98 uploaded last night, 0.10.34.3.1, Does Not Work
Very Well.
The Demo is Useless. It doesn't work with Jochen's hack. Doesn't work by itself.

I have the same problem. I have tried both Socks5 and Generic.
Can't get it from the /View 'browser'. The 'do' method works with
either proxy.

If a proxy is specified in 'set-net', Rebol
should only 'turn it on' for HTTP, FTP, and
Gopher. All other services should remain false.
This scenario would cover 90+ percent of
proxy users. It would also make distribution of
Rebol apps easier as less custo
Wrong answer.
My SMTP server is 'local' on the WAN. It appears
that all IP traffic gets routed to the proxy
if you define it in set-net. Our cern proxy is a
proxy, not a firewall. We use a 'pac' file for
routing. This 'pac' file is usually loaded into
the Browser as part of auto configuration. The

How do I get my browser to execute ".r" and ".reb" files.
I tried setting them in my preferences with no luck.

As suspected, the two sites you have problems with are not allowing straight
FTP. They probably are allowing passive via the browser interface. This
is the way most ISP's do it. Allowing FTP uploads is an ISP's worst nightmare.
Holger may know how to do it, but from what I hear it is not that easy
I would like to be on the Rebol/View tester list.
I can't wait for Rebol/Command either.
