I have a friend who is huge into the novel "Ishmael". He asked me to translate this thing he wrote into lojban. I have no idea why, but it was good practice. Most of the lujvo I used were straight from jbovlaste. Some of them translated funny when I checked my work in the lojban translator though-

I think we may be looking at the text to be translated wrong. Although Yoda says "There is no try", He is not saying that people 'cannot' try. Yoda's quote indirectly means that if you merely try, then you will fail. It might be accurate to say something like "you fail, because do not act- you mer
