O2 Wifi do this as well and I’d guess The Cloud do as well. My guess is that
there could be liability issues if a shop offered public wifi and didn’t block
some types of pages and hence these services block.

Also from what I can remember, any postcode with a trainiling letter in
the outcode (first part) can only be 1 digit long; so SW1V is valid but
SW12V cannot exist.

Having been involved in producing these sort of policies for my company,
I think it will take a lot longer for them to be produced, unless you
don't mind having unenforceable policies from an HR perspective.
There are boilerplate versions on the SANS site that can act as a start

I have to build a system for password management.
Different people here will require access to different passwords based
on their roles. Has anyone implemented such a thing in perl, and if so
can they give a few pointers.
If not I'll have to start work designing

Since NT4SP3 is not even Y2K ready, I doubt that anyone would feel it is
a fair comparison. I suppose you could compare it to Linux 2.0.*.
My experience is that NT, Windows and Unix can be very stable platforms
- they also can be unstable and I have seen it in all three systems.
What about the b
Because some things work better on NT than on Unix. As long as
decisions are made based on the suitability of the platform for the
application, then I've got nothing against NT etc.

IPCop seems to actively promote the GPL side, so it'll be interesting to
see which project moves forward better. I'm trying IPCop at the moment.

There is also an option to get the .config info from the currently
running kernel, I just can't remember what that is. It can help when
you only have the compiled kernel and no longer have the /usr/src/linux
used when you compiled it.

I fully agree. One online magazine I read is a RPG magazine called
'Imazine'. It is produced as a pdf file and is so much easier to read
than an on screen presentation of the same information. The onlty
problem is keeping 'creative layouts' in control!
