I tried using the soundcore, uart401, and sb io=0x220 irq=5 dma=1 settings in lts.conf and got an error with the sb module.. I tried the auto option and it seems to have died on the very next (and last) part, the mixer device. I went to via's website and they only have source RPMs for various dis

Paul, Assuming that eventually the client does boot (i.e. you don't have a RH 9.x firewall running) this is generally caused by a network problem, often a switch/NIC that do not auto-negotiate correctly. You could confirm this by connecting the client directly to the server via a crossover cab
