I got the same thing as Steven and Perazim, but I think the messages
above are important too:
Mounting root filesystem: /opt/ltsp/i386 from: 192.168.10.1
Doing the pivot_root
Mounting the devfs filesystem
Running /sbin/init
Usage: init 0123456SsQqAaBbCcUu

Alright, this may be crazy. Here is my situation: We are using LTSP with

But if that doesn't work you have to specify the modules manually. I

I'm in the process of designing a system where several clients will be able to
tune-in at will to one of several concurrent video streams from a video
server. The clients and server will all be on the same dedicated network. It
seems like LTSP is suited to solve at least some of the challenges h

There isn't a 2.4.24 kernel for ltsp-4.0 or 4.1, but the latest kernel

Joao,
yes, it's definately in the works. Scott Balneaves just gave me the
code a few days ago that makes USB devices work. I'm out of town until
next wednesday, so I won't get a chance to test it, and incorporate it
into the LTSP-4.1 tree until then.

Having seen so many people have a problem with the 2.4.26 ltsp
kern
Yes,
I am also using the 2.4.26
This is my first time with LTSP, hence have no experience with other
kernels...
Can I simply replace the 2.4.26 file with a 2.4.24-4 one?

Hello,
I get exactly the same error.. so, now it seems that we're three having this
problem :)
For me, it seems to be a problem with the kernel. If i use ltsp-4.1 with the
2.4.24-4 kernel everything is fine, but with the new 2.4.26-kernel this
errror occurs.
I suppose it's the same thing for you?
Hello,
Have s4 Pcs booting ltsp 4.0 from romomatic's bootimage on a floppy.
These floppies do get lost from time to time, so I was wondering if I can boot of the
harddrive instead.
Perhaps with a dd from the floppy to /dev/hda from ltsp text root prompt on the local
PC?
It might be nice to use th
Hi. This is on the ltsp-4.1b1 document:
" Local CD-Rom and Floppy support. Using Supermount and Samba on the client,
and the auto-mounter on the server, we can now make the CD-Rom and floppy
drives available to the user."
I wonder if local usb devices are or will be supported. I'm thinking of

Well, Under LTSP 4.0 it freezes randomly, irregularrly about once
a day as I've said before. Actually thats the geode driver. I tried the
nsc driver as a found a web page that said it worked
