-display display is there only in case you do't have setenv DISPLAY set
correctly.
In the other words, drop "-display display" to get rid of the error.

Hmmm...
Try sticking the following script in a file:
#!/bin/sh
if [ ! -e /usr/lib/libesd.so.1 -a -e /usr/lib/libesd.so.0 ]; then
ln -s /usr/lib/libesd.so.0 /usr/lib/libesd.so.1 2>/dev/null

logger "/tmp/.esd/socket is missing. replacing..."
rm -rf /tmp

If you use SOUND_DAEMON = "esd" , Ubuntu will work right-out-of-the-box.
no need for ltsp-sound pkg on server.
This is because, as of the newer Gnome/KDE, both desktops go through
gstreamer for sound, and Ubuntu sets up gstreamer to use ESD as output
by default.

I'm not an LTSP expert but, if you have the drivers,
you can re-compile the kernel that the terminals use
with your driver included. I bet someone on this list
has made a custom kernel for their terms.

Also, I get an error that says unable to open display "display". is
there some sort of variable that I was supposed to put in there?

Heh. Now he tells me.
Any idea how long this thing runs? I was running it on my system to get
a good idea of how long it will take and it ran about a half hour before
I got this email from you
Nvidia is the only known vendor that supports remote OpenGL acceleration

Thank you.
It worked after having made those changes. The sample dhcpd.conf file generated by lpcfg has mislead me into putting the kernel file directly instead of going one directory down to choose the pxelinux.0 file.
Thanks.

Can you send the contents of your dhcpd.conf file?
It's possible that it's being directed to the wrong file. I had the
same issue once and I just changed the file I was pointing at to fix
it. Are you sure you're pointing at the right pxelinux file? I'm
using lts//2.6.9-ltsp-3/pxelinux.0.
Hi all,
Recently I was doing a small benchmarking test to find out which HW is
best suitable as thin clients for our company.
I was mainly focused on 2D performance as 3D is unfortunately out of
question (no remote DRI).
Here are the results:
SunRay, Sun Ultra 60 & Ssrs 3.0- Xmark = 5.82
