LTSP functions just fine without it. You can specify configuration s

This really has absolutely nothing to do with LTSP. This is a desktop
administration issue.
Google for the Gnome Desktop Administrators Guide. It's got lots o

Debian provided an old version of ltsp-utils.

Kevin,
telnetd and rshd don't exist in LTSP because they aren't needed.
If you want to connect from the server to the workstation, you can use
ssh. sshd is available on the workstation. You just need to turn on
LOCAL_APPS and setup NIS for authentication.

Hi,
Im looking for in.rshd or in.telnetd in the ltsp dir but I can not find it.
Does anyone know where it is?
I copied them from my ltsp server to the i386 dir but it didnt seem to work.
So, I guess they are compiled differently from my ltsp server.
I guess I need in.rshd in.telnetd specific
Hi Alex,
Access-control via groups is implemented in cups.

Hello again,
I think I'm going to find a solution named Tea4CUPS. It's a cups backend which
catches the jobs before they are forwarded to the printer and lets any
program/script modify them.
With the already mentioned "Set-default-printer" solutions this would be a

Hello,
I have a very strange thing here
I have ltsp 4.2 updated with ltspadmin. I get a status of all that there
is no update required. But wenn I log in at a terminal (locally) and do
a cat /etc/version then I get 4.2 version 3 though 4 is the latest.
Is the message false or is there an ot
OK, let me explain it a bit more detailed. We have about 5 printers. 3 in the
computerrooms. While pupils can't use this room without a teacher, we can
ignore these ones. But then we have two other printers. One, which is freely
accessible in a corridor, and another one in the staffroom.
