NBD_SWAP but it's not there. I've looked in the dhcpd.conf file, the
lts.conf file, and searched for it but to no avail - I did find nbd-server -
Also, see my note re: disabling NBD_SWAP for these dual-core clients.

I typed the following into /var/lib/tftpboot/ltsp/i386/lts.conf under
[default] : NBD_SWAP=N
and tried booting again - no effect.

Hi Keith,
please do remember to check out the onscreen messages. There could be lots
of reasons why you have a long boot-time and this will narrow down the
problem quite a bit.

Keith,
What version of LTSP are you using?
Also, there probably isn't a NBD_SWAP entry in the lts.conf file.
You'll need to add it, assuming you are using LTSP-5.

The error message is generated from within the chroot, so
'/usr/bin/rdesktop' should be on the server in your chroot directory.
I'm not familiar with Fedora, but on some other distros that would be
'/opt/ltsp/i386/usr/bin/rdesktop'. You may have to chroot
/opt/ltsp/i386 and install rdesktop if

It is not uncommon, especially for monitors that do not reply to DDC
probe requests from the driver, to end up causing the driver to pick a
mode that is not well suited. In this case, the fix is usually to tell
Xorg what horizontal and vertical sync frequencies are appropriate for
that monitor.
