When i plug a usb memory on a client, it is mounted on /home/user??/drives and i can access the usb memory on that folder. The problem is that a icon is not displyed on the clients desktop to easily access the usb memory. What i an missing in the installation? I has done this in the past following

I would assume whatever problem you have with that client would be the same using Ubuntu, although Ubuntu's building of the LTSP image seems a little more straightforward (mostly due to the lack of documentation, and community support) I don't see to many differences in the core. I use a variation

Your idea to have 1 NIC for each of the switches to me sounds like the least fraught with peril (at least of the free options). In such a scenario bonding isn't the route you would want to take. You would either assign 3 different IP addresses to each of the 3 NICs and configure DHCP and NBD acco
